Annotated bibliographies are more than just a citation. After you have sorted and put your citations together you write a brief summary about each source. This really helped me to know what was in each article, so if i ever was going to write a paper on this topic it would make the process of sorting through my information and sources a lot easier.
I will definitely try to use this in the future. I have a hard time looking through my information over and over again. I'm not the one to go through and highlight things cause i tend to leave important information out. This method really helps me know what i have and where to look for the right things.

Amelia. "Should Prostitution Be Legalized?" AlterNet. AlterNet, 2008. Web. 25 Feb. 2010.

This article refers to the proposed legislation in San Francisco about decriminalization of prostitution. It also gives in detail the difference between decriminalization and legalization. I really liked the fact that they went into great detail on the difference between the 2 terms. The site gave great information and all the information is very usable. I also liked how it wasn’t as biased at the other sources, you get both sides of the argument in one reading.

Bird, Ruth, and Ronnie Donaldson. "“Sex, Sun, Soccer”: Stakeholder-Opinions on the Sex

Industry in Cape Town in Anticipation of the 2010 FIFA Soccer World Cup." Urban             Forum 20.1 (2009): 33-46. Academic Search Premier. EBSCO. Web. 22 Feb. 2010.

This article talks about the heated argument in South Africa about legalizing prostitution for the 2010 FIFA Soccer World Cup. It explains the controversial topic, and what people are saying about the possibility of prostitution being legalized. The article also expresses the peoples concern for this much debated decision.  Several opinions are stated in the article from different representatives who are involved with the tourism aspect in South Africa. Some of the arguments included are, the health of the city, policies for the law, and discrimination.

The First Post. "The licensing of prostitutes:Pros & Cons." The First Post. The First Post, 2006.

               Web. 25 Feb. 2010. <http://www.thefirstpost.co.uk/ 5029,news-comment,news-

               politics,pros-and-cons-of-licensing-prostitutes>.

I liked this website because it gives the pros and cons to legalizing prostitution in a chart form. It does a great job of stating both arguments. The credibility of the article is equivalent to CNN or Fox News. This source is pretty reliable because it’s not biased. The information given is very good and informative when trying to understand both sides of the argument. Lots of good information.

FOX News. "San Francisco Weighs Decriminalizing Prostitution." Fox News. Fox News, 2010.

               Web. 25 Feb. 2010. <http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,442741,00.html>.

Fox News posts an article that talks about San Francisco and their efforts to decriminalize prostitution. The city has proposed that all police stop enforcing the prostitution laws. The bill proposes that by doing this that $11 million will be saved. The article includes what the mayor and District attorneys think on the idea. It also includes those who agree and think that if passed it would allow better conditions for prostitutes. The source is very credible and Fox News produces good information, but can be biased.

Los Angeles Times. "Legalize prostitution." Legalize prostitution. Los Angeles Times, 2009. Web.

               25 Feb. 2010. <http://articles.latimes.com/2008/mar/13/opinion/oe-kelly13>.

I really liked this article because it’s more of a testimony, a firsthand account of someone who went to a country where prostitution is legal. She talks about brothels and how she believes that the brothels are safer and provide a roof and shelter for the ladies. She does believe that the current situations for the ladies are not the greatest but for them, it’s all that they have. Mexico has made prostitution legal, which also provides somewhat of a protection for the ladies. This article shows the pros and cons to not only the economic side but the health and effect it has on the prostitutes. The Los Angeles Times did a great job by getting good reliable information firsthand from someone who personally researched the topic.

"Sex Isn't a Spectator Sport." Christianity Today 50.7 (2006): 20-21. Academic Search Premier.

            EBSCO. Web. 22 Feb. 2010.

This article from Christianity Today expresses its thoughts on the legalization of prostitution. The article also talks about trafficking and sexual exploitation. This article is somewhat bias to the topic. The article itself is from 2006 and talks about the FIFA World Cup in Germany the information can be a little outdated. President George W. Bush also has some input and his efforts to combat this heated debate.

Strom, Agnete. "A glimpse 30 years of struggle against prostitution by the women's liberation

movement in Norway." Reproductive Matters 17.34 (2009): 29-37. Academic Search

               Premier. Web. 25 Feb. 2010.

This article talks about an organization in Norway called the Women’s Front. The article describes what the organization does to raise awareness of trafficking of women and girls, in not just Norway but across the globe. It gives the efforts that the organization took to take down traffickers, pornography industries, and agencies that promote prostitution and tourism. The article is very biased and extremely radical when it comes to feminism. The credibility of the article is very strong. The organization has done outstanding research.

"Thailand: government debates legalizing prostitution." Off Our Backs 34.1/2 (2004): 7.

Academic Search Premier. EBSCO. Web. 25 Feb. 2010.

I really liked this article’s because it brings other countries and their attempts to either legalize prostitution or reject the idea completely into play. The article brings in information from Thailand, Albania, Canada and Italy. The article gives not the radical feminist opinion or the religious beliefs. It actually talks about why those who fight to legalize have tried to pass the law. They believe that it would improve the economy in the country and make things better for the prostitutes in general. But it does mention those who disagree.

"United States: berkeley voters reject legalizing prostitution." Off Our Backs 34.11/12 (2004): 9.

Academic Search Premier. EBSCO. Web. 25 Feb. 2010.

The article covers the story of Berkeley, California citizens and how the attempt to legalize prostitution was quickly rejected. Consists of quotes and thoughts from Janice Raymond from the Coalition Against Trafficking in Women. I like the article and how Janice investigates the current conditions of prostitutes in Berkeley. She states that the young women are “poor, uneducated, immigrant women, or women of color”. The article brings up the fact that women are being arrested from prostitution and how she disagrees with this decision.

Vera, Veronica. "The Free Speech Pamphlet Series: Prostitution." FEMINISM AND FREE SPEECH.

Feminists For Free Expression , 2009. Web. 25 Feb. 2010.

               <http://www.ffeusa.org/html/statements/ statements_prostitution.html>.

This website from the Feminists For Free Expression gives good and credible information on decriminalizing prostitution and how it can have positive effects. The article gives good and clear arguments on why they choose decriminalization of prostitution. They make some really good points and are looking out for the benefit and protection of those closely involved with prostitution. To make their argument stronger the feminist group talks about a court case which debated consensual sex. The article was very informative and a lot of really good information.
